Microsoft introduced windows server 2008 R2 as a server operating system in September 14, 2009 with seven editions. PowerShell introduced with some enhanced features such as WMI cmdlets and support for running script on remote system. Server 2008 R2 has a new graphical PowerShell user interface for developing and debugging scripts.
